Stirling Books & Brew: A Novel Idea for the Holidays

Do you want to know what gets us into the shopping spirit? A cozy store environment that guards us from the unforgiving Michigan winters. Warm drinks and pastries we can enjoy by a fire. Cozying up with a good book. Maybe some live music. That’s why we choose Stirling Books & Brew when it comes to holiday shopping.

Modeled out of the previously named Books & More, the doors of Stirling were proudly opened this past year by locals Staci and Jim Stuart. The store offers a plethora of new and used books, ranging from classical fiction, to children’s, to thriller and suspense. Stirling will also order titles not on their shelves.

Stirling also offers many titles of local interest, including novels about Battle Creek’s original crime king and volumes by Albion historian Frank Passic. There is sure to be a good read for your own Mitten State-lover.

Stirling isn’t limited to books. You’ll also find locally made stocking stuffer and white elephant gifts. These include jars of cashews and almonds from Albion’s own Cascarelli’s, varieties of honey from J&D’s Honeybees in Concord, and warm winter accessories like alpaca gloves, hats, and scarves from Urban Dreams Farm in Riverdale.
